When you want to help someone, don’t just give to them, find out what they need. Do not assume what they need, but talk to them. Between you & them, distinguish between what they want, what they need, what you have, what you wish to achieve.
It sounds so simple. And it is. It just often seems to be forgotten about.
No matter what the level of helping out, assess the need. It will cause the greatest impact.

So true - sometimes we (I) get so caught up in our lives (my life), we (I) don't actually listen to what other people are needing.
Good in theory... needs a bit of practise though.
Much practice & much reminding to be kept in mind! As well as that what YOU think someone needs is not what they might need is not necessarily what they say they need! Tricky indeed!
