You should hear their 1st album...you might recognise the lead singers voice from the Royksopp's "What else is there"... :o)...If you want to hear more....go to www.youtube.com and type "the knife" into the search bar....
Im glad you like...ive also just discovered them... ;o)
Scandinavians - one of the most underestimated dear cultures of the world!! How did you get into their music?
On that note, excuse me, I must quickly email photos of my ex-Danish chick bedmate to my brother who is heading to Copenhagen, and who I think is hoping at least one family member gets in there with her. sigh. men and hot women.
Royksopp...another swedish electronic/ambient band....one of their more popular tracks was "eple" and you will definately know it if you heard it...it was played to death on MTV and everything with it etc...."What else is there" has been played quite a bit on 5fm...it was playlisted for quite awhile...
How did I discover The Knife... ??? i'm a sound engineer :o) ..., its kinda my passion...there are so many good yet slightly off kilter bands out there its astounding....SA is very conservative in what it brings in but if you hang around the right circles you tend to find out whats hot.. :o)
And Sweden..I love the Swede's...I had a Swedish girlfriend for a short while...she was crazy... :oP
Brilliant. Then I am very happy to have virtually met you. You can help me improve my sad music collection filled with cheesy pop & too many chilled guitar-picking songs.
Gotta love those Swedes & their tellytubby way of talking, hot looks, sweet personalities, and of course...liberal ways of thinking & acting! And also that they may pay a silly amount of tax, but there they have never thought of paying for even a doc's appointment in their lives.
hmmmmm....actually all the scandanavians are great.....our lead vocalist's sister is married to and icelandic girl....they have such a beautiful way about them... :o)
