[Update: One gorgeous, very true post by iScatterlings, and not just cause he "pimped" me off in it - Scoble, Hugh and A-Lister Groupies]
The realisation is just starting to sink in.
That in little over a month I will be living it up in THE city of this world – New York. I’ve been lucky to spend two weekends of my life there before. And I cannot wait to get back!
And then, I will be visiting the forever-sunny shores of California. From San Fran to Wine country, I’m gonna be all over that place.
All in an effort to see some of my best mates that this globe has thrown at me in my twenty-six years.
Whatever mundaneness has been fogging up my mind as of late is just evaporating away faster than a snow storm in Jozi.
It is not just a conversation across emails anymore. It is looking very real. And I am starting to grin like a…like a….well, like a girl who stands a very good chance of getting lucky with at least one cute foreigner in the nearing future!
American Consulate Ass-Kissing depending.
Maybe we’ll do a sneaky trip to Washington as well. Maybe not. I decided to decline Philly. Run Rocky up those stairs back in '99. Hopefully I will have some familiar company in San Fran. But if not, then it will just have to be made amongst the backpacking hippies of global travellers. All this before we all dress up fancy for the wedding of Frenchies, amongst the vineyards. And a minor amount of consideration of how I am getting back to the East coast has been put in, so as to make my flight back to Jozi.
Karma has definitely smiled on me.
And I am grinning back at it like a dazed-dreaming fool.
To add a hint of bitter to this sweetness though – I just saw this headline: Zimbabwe: Shops Empty As Price War Confusion Intensifies
P.S. To those heading East today, drive safely on that N3, please!
